Pop Smoke debuted his first mixtape Meet the Woo in 2019. In April 2019 the artist released his debut track Welcome to the Party, the track that became his signature. Then, in August 2019 two versions of the song were released. The first remix featured Nicki Minaj while the second was a collaboration with Skepta. The song stands out due to the usage of UK drills, a technique that would be used throughout all his discography. This was due in part to his collaborations with British 808Melo producer. In the wake of the popularity of Welcome to the Party and other singles, such as War with Lil Tjay & 100k On A Coupe featuring Calboy he began collaborating on tracks. Gatti was a collaboration that the artist had together with JackBoys, Travis Scott in December of 2019, and is the last song on the album.
